We just got word that Active Labor Gown is donating 30 buckets to Sunday’s Hip Tot Music Fest, each with chalk or bubbles in them, for their Pass the Bucket campaign. But that is just the beginning of this beautiful concept! The buckets will be displayed around Littlefield you can put things in or take stuff out and at the end of the show the buckets can go home with anyone who wants them and they can then pass it on to someone else! It’s a random act of kindness that will bring everyone a little joy! Don’t you love it???
Here are some suggestions for things to bring to share:
- music CD
- a toy your child doesn’t play with anymore
- something you bought at the store like bubbles
- a book
Here is the story of Pass the Bucket from Active Labor Gown:
This is what got our wheel’s spinning. If we were to bring a bucket to the park and hide some plastic Easter eggs, or fill it with bubbles, wouldn’t it be great if someone else decided to pay this random act of kindness forward? But how would we keep it going? And there you have it #PassTheBucket
Claire then ran the idea by her genius 13-year old stepson, Joey, who is very aware of the importance of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Geo-caching and Geo-tagging world. He thought it was great, and helped bring the concept to another level…follow your bucket and see where it goes! #bucket1, 2, 3 etc.
So why not give a gift that truly does keep on giving by simply paying it forward. #PassTheBucket allows one to be creative, generous, and give unexpectedly. As mentioned before, receiving is a great feeling, but having the ability to share and spread that feeling continuously is what paying a random act of kindness forward is all about no matter how big or small it might be.
As a company of women we are always inspired by one another, but we are driven by the bond of our families and the inspiration of our children. Join in on the fun by creating your own #PassTheBucket and placing it in the location of your choice. Hashtag the number of the bucket and follow where it goes!
