This Father’s Day be sure to come on down to the Lakeside Rooftop, above the Skating Rink, for FREE live entertainment and family fun. Lakeside is Brooklyn’s premier destination for year-round recreation & leisure so you don’t want to miss this one. The Trummytones will be playing their brand of ska/reggae/dance music as the main attraction. Their all-star lineup of world-class musicians never fail to impress. Opening up for them will be Willow Bennison, a 12 year-old multi-instrumentalist and singer phenom who recorded with Grammy Winners Dan Zanes and Friends on their album Little Nut Tree, which National Public Radio featured on All Things Considered. Willow will be performing two songs with the actors from Pistachio, a play about a Brooklyn girl made of trash!

Live music is not the only thing Hip Tot has for you! There will be FREE giveaways from Carpingo as well as drink and snack samples, temporary tattoos and plenty of fun stuff. The fun will kickoff at noon with author Ty Allan Jackson reading his children’s book, When I Close My Eyes. Jackson is an award winning author and has been honored with citations by the Governor of Massachusetts, Senate and the House of Representatives. He is the author of DANNY DOLLAR MILLIONAIRE EXTRAORDINAIRE which has been used by several financial institutions and Google for Entrepreneurs as a tool to teach children about finance and entrepreneurship. He is also the author of the excited superhero story THE SUPADUPA KID.
