FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HIP TOT IS CLIMBING ON BOARD THE S.S. BROOKLYN!
Join us for the CD release of Lloyd H. Miller’s new album at Hip Tot Music Fest season opener
HIP TOT MUSIC FEST’s first concert of the season is happening on Sunday, October 13th, at Shapeshifter Lab in Park Slope with a CD release party for Lloyd H. Miller’s solo CD “S.S. Brooklyn”. Expect lots of extra fun like The Deedle Deedle Dees making an appearance in honor of their 10 year anniversary and Melanie Hope Greenberg reading her Brooklyn classic, “Mermaids on Parade”. There will be FREE crafts and face painting from KidVentrues NYC and get some swag from Brooklyn’s own car sharing company Carpingo.
Our favorite history rocker, Lloyd H. Miller, also known as the leader of the Kindie band The Deedle Deedle Dees, has won national awards and acclaim for a distinctive brand of all-ages historical rock music. Grammy winner Dean Jones helped Miller create his solo CD, S.S. Brooklyn, capturing the simplicity of a sing-along and the energy of the playground. Guest artists include Marianne Tasick, Abby Rock and Debbie Lan, who provide contrast and added complexity to Miller’s driving vocals.

About Hip Tot Music Fest
Hip Tot Music Fest is a monthly indoor music festival that takes place during the fall and winter. The shows producers, Gabby and Adam, have created an incredible community for families with live music, story time, craft activities, and giveaways. Shapeshifter Lab’s spacious venue is designed for the stroller crowd with an entrance ramp making it simple to get in and out. They sell delicious paninis and juice boxes for the kids and they have beer and wine for the big people.
Hip Tot Music Fest is the perfect venue for a child’s birthday party. Your group will have a VIP section with pizza, juice boxes, your own craft activity or face painter and, of course, you get to hang with the band!
Not sure what band to see? How about getting a season pass for six concerts, (good for 1-4 people). It’s just $200 and it is completely transferable if you can’t make a show.
“I was thrilled to experience such a strong community event that is focused on music, creativity, and staying hip.” – Mama Goes Natural
