HIP TOT IS GOING GREEN!
Enjoy all the fun of Hip Tot Music Fest at Greenwood Park’s Final Monthly Family Day!

Hip Tot  has joined the folks at Greenwood Park to bring on the fun with the final event in their summer series, sponsored by Carpingo and Seamless, Hip Tot Family Day, on Sunday, September 29th.

The 13,000 square foot indoor / outdoor restaurant, bar and beer garden is the ‘in’ spot for thousands of local families. Greenwood Park was voted 2013s ‘Best Kid-Friendly Bar’ by The L Magazine. In an effort to make families more a part of the scene, Hip Tot will provide music, story time, giveaways and crafts.

At the final Hip Tot Family day on Sunday, August 25th, at noon, Greenwood Park will be transformed into a kid friendly zone with story time, music, craft area and a giveaway. Author Betsy Bird will be reading her book “Giant Dance Party” and signed copies of her ‘moving’ tale can be purchased at the event. DJ Misbehaviour, known for spinning at the world famous Central Park roller-skating disco, will be mixing all the tot hits. Crafts, face painting and activities will he hosted by local businesses. Plus there will be an incredible giveaway and, of course, great food and drinks!

The first two summer Hip Tot Family Day’s were huge successes, with over 200 people in attendance at each. In July author/illustrator Melanie Hope Greenberg read her Brooklyn classic ‘Mermaids on Parade’, while Amelia Robinson of Mil’s Trills, jammed out water-friendly songs on her ukulele. Plum Organic, joined us with their cross-Country caravan, Camp Amazing, with tons of free snacks, a photo booth and games for everyone! In August author/illustrator Ambre Anderson read her uplifting book ‘Qualities’ and Frank Gallo of Rolie Polie Guacamole hosted a sing-a-long. There were crafts from ALEX Toys, face painting and fun games from Carpingo.

The series is a real NY creation with the producers of Hip Tot and the owners of Greenwood Park all being native Brooklynites. Actually both Gabby and Adam of Hip Tot, went to middle school just across the street from Greenwood Park at IS88.

October starts the seven month live concert series, Hip Tot Music Fest at Shapeshifter Lab. Hip Tot Music Fest is a ticketed event where you can enjoy a family friendly music concert, along with all the fun activities Hip Tot has to offer. Online tickets will be available at hiptot.com with an option to purchase a season pass for entrance to six shows for a family of four for just $200.

See you with your dancing shoes on!
