Hip Tot has Rolie Polie Guacamole to thank for helping spearhead the idea of a monthly concert series. When Gabby closed her retail shop, Still Hip in Clinton Hill, Rolie lead man Frank Gallo, approached her about helping find place for his band to play. She had some local connections and they decided to have a concert at Park Slope’s SouthPaw. Unfortunately just weeks before the show was set to happen the club decided to close. Luckily the owners helped them move their event to Littlefield on Degraw St. The event was a huge success and the concert series was born in July of 2012. Rolie Polie Guacamole also performed with Grammy Winners the Okee Dokee Brothers on January 13th, 2013 and they graced the Hip Tot stage again in April of 2013. We are so excited for this next show in our new home, ShapeShifter Lab on Whitwell Place in Park Slope.
Note that we might be adding a second set if tickets for 11:00 sell out.
